The Producers
This works out!
American musical The Producers (Producenti), written by Mel Brooks, is among other things a parody of the famous New York Broadway, which has served as a Mecca of world music-entertaining theater for already more than a century. And maybe because of this, The Producers belongs to the funniest Broadway musicals and earned a well-deserved success on Broadway for several seasons. Brooks wrote The Producers originally as a movie and in 1968 he also filmed it in Hollywood as his directorial debut. Brooks won an Oscar for best screenplay and the film became a cult over time.
