Wanda graduated at VSMU in 2001, majoring in TV and Film Production. Between 2001-2006 she worked as a General Director at Nova Scena Theatre, the biggest musical theatre in Slovakia. In 2008 she produced a musical “The Producers” as a private producer under her label Wandal Production. The show was seen by almost 25 000 viewers. Wandal Production was established in 2007 by producer Wanda Adamik Hrycova and focuses mainly on feature film and TV production, and also participates as minority co- producer in strongly appealing international projects. It co-produced the WW2 drama COLETTE by Milan Cieslar, and produced the crime thriller THE LINE by Peter Bebjak, which became the most successful Slovak film ever with over 330.000 theatrical admissions domestically. In 2021, the company premiered the historical TV series THE SLAVS (dir. Peter Bebjak), a Slovak-Ukrainian co-production, for TV JOJ. In 2021, it released the film PERFECT STRANGERS (dir. Zuzana Marianková), the largest box office Slovak title in Slovak cinemas in 2021.

Wandal Production is currently developing a historical drama ICE DOWN (dir. Jan Hřebejk!, about the Czechoslovak ice hockey world champions from 1950’s, who were falsely accused of an emigration attempt from the communistic Czechoslovakia and were send to prison to mine uranium with bare hands. Wandal Production is also preparing a second film of Slovak- Afgani female director Sahraa Karimi, bases on her hrue story FLIGHT FROM KABUL. Script is developed at MIDPOINT Feature Launch program and has been awarded Best Work in Development in KVIFF 2023. Sahraa’s first film HAVA, MARYAM, AYESHA was premiered in 2019 at Venice Film Festival in Orizzonti. Wanda is an EAVE graduate.
