The famous International Life Department of Czechoslovak Radio is under the direction of Milan Weiner and full of courageous journalists – celebrities of their time, whose posters adorn the walls of many homes. Among the contemporary icons, Viera Št’ovíčková, Luboš Dobrovský and Jiří Dienstbier, comes a young man, Tomáš. He is unaware of the fact the local editors are in the crosshairs of the secret services that oppose free and uncensored radio broadcasting. Secret services become even more interested in the activities of the editorial staff when a compromising recording appears and airing it could change the course of history. Time is running out, tensions are rising and action must be taken. Will Tomáš protect his orphaned younger brother or will he together with his colleagues make history and change the fate of the entire country?
